We should all take a breath at the end of the week. Every Friday I will post a history, political, or geography related resource that is fun or uplifting. Feel free to scroll through all of the Friday activities whenever you need some fun!

Cast Your Vote! by iCivics

An informed voter is a better voter! Play the following game set in the fictional town of Islay to learn about the importance of local elections, watch candidates discuss important issues in Town Hall debate, identify issues that matter to you and rate candidates' stances on important issues. These skills are really important to becoming a better voter!

Find the game at this link: https://www.icivics.org/node/2190/resource

Why is this a great game to play this week?

This week changed the landscape of the 2020 Presidential Election. With Bernie Sanders suspending his campaign on Wednesday, it is likely that on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 Americans will vote for either Former Vice President Biden or President Trump to become the next president of the United States.

Hopefully citizens will research the issues each candidate supports and the solutions they propose to major problems before voting. An informed voter is a better voter!
